As a Central Sterilization Account Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Establishment and Achievement of Objectives: Effectively manages assigned territory. Understands sales goals and establishes self-directed sales coverage with manager's assistance. Develops tactics and coordinates efforts to fulfill quarterly and annual objectives. Recommends adjustments and reassessments to business plan and establishes new objectives. Achieves annual sales targets and objectives.
  • Sales and Marketing: Applies business unit marketing policies, procedures and plans. Utilizes selling process to achieve sales results.
  • Applies understanding of 3M s brand and innovation story, individual value propositions, and knowledge of applications to maximize revenue for 3Mfor assigned product portfolios.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and use of social selling tools to create connections with Industry and Customers.
  • Demonstrates and trains internal and external customers on product applications. Operationalizes use of social selling tools to gain credibility with industry and customers.
  • Represents business unit products and services to customers and prospects. Provides appropriate sales support services to customers and distributors, with additional support as required from internal resources.
  • Proactively reports all new or unusual pertinent market conditions, competitive activities, and product performance information to supervisor.
  • Interacts with business groups and/or business management to identify target audiences and provide input to a communications plan that delivers the brand promise to target audiences and builds customer loyalty.
  • Coordination and Planning: Plans and manages time and resources for effective coverage of territory, communications, and other responsibilities. Observes all budget guidelines.
  • Administration: Maintains and communicates account and prospect information, maintains company resources, and sales support materials.
  • Leadership: Exhibits leadership with accounts, prospects and peers. Accepts direction and assumes leadership as appropriate. Asserts ideas and persuades others to action, builds collaboration among team members to address relevant customer/industry issues. Provides direction on priorities and develops a shared vision that stimulates needed changes plus

Company Vehicle

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Two (2) years of experience selling to Acute Care Hospital setting in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Current, valid Driver s license

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Fully competent in utilizing selling skills.
  • Continues to develop the ability to influence, communicate, and coordinate.
  • Listening, interpersonal, negotiating, presentation, planning, administrative and analytical skills.
  • Requires use of computers, including basic Personal Computer (PC) software, specialized sales software, and on-line sales support systems.
  • Demonstrates in-depth understanding of product lines, customer segments and their needs, internal functional needs, and competitive products, prices and policies.
  • Works from guidelines, using individual reasoning when deviating from these guidelines.
  • Modifies and adapts behavior to changes in the situation or environment to reach goals.
  • Examines all available information in problem situations and uses prior experience to determine the best solution. When necessary, the supervisor or more senior co-workers are consulted for assistance in problem areas.
  • Leverages working relationships with key people in accounts and/or distributors at all levels. Must influence those contacts to exceed sales objectives.
  • Represents the company in a manner consistent with 3M's business conduct code and business unit expectations while also promoting the company image.

Location: South Carolina, Augusta, GA or Savanah, GA

Travel: May include up to 50% domestic
