About the position:
PlanetX is looking for an experienced Data Product Manager that has deep experience in Data Analytics, BI, Solutions. The selected Data Product Manager need to provide technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining, segmentation, and analysis.
The responsibilities include planning and execution of projects and enhancements through their full software development lifecycle and manage day-to-day production operations within SLAs. This role also requires strong understanding of Data Analytics/BI architecture and concepts, and hands-on experience in BI tools/technologies to guide/mentor team members.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and participate in design review sessions, testing and post-deployment activities including data accuracy validations
- Establish search, tools and analytics capabilities as a key differentiator for the products, creating a leadership position within the market
- Build analytical systems to drive key decision making
- Make recommendations about data collection methods, metrics definition, and analytical evaluation methods, in collaboration with internal and external partners.
- Serve as technical expert responsible for the architecture, design and implementation of BI solutions, with accurate and complete information delivery to business users using systematic, maintainable and automated procedures
- Assist in activities around data architecture standards and documentation
- Create and evaluate data needs of assigned projects and ensure the data integrity. Assist in defining and validating processes for data cleansing, integration, and transformation.
- Use analytics to help understand business results, including pricing initiatives, and marketing campaigns
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field. Master's degree is a plus
- 3+ years of data analytics experience within relevant industry
- Experience with front end BI tools is a huge plus
- Strong understanding of effective report/dashboard design and standards
- Strong familiarity with data preparation, processing, classification, and forecasting
- Experience collaborating with teams of designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers throughout the design process
- Strong communication skills to describe issues and solutions to various audience
- Proven experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle
- Previous experience delivering finely-tuned product marketing strategies
- Exceptional writing and editing skills combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Have worked on products from inception to production with some scale
- Experience with ESG,Data, E-commerce, Blockchain, Industry is a plus, but not required
- licenses or certifications a plus but not required: PM, PMP or SCRUM
