What you will be doing:
The Position serves as the relationship manager between IT and the Corporate Application business functions, primarily but not limited to our Finance and Accounting departments. You will gather business requirements, provide guidance and develop a good understanding of the processes and technologies being used within our Corporate Application functions. You will partner with various IT resources, Cross Functional Business Resources and 3rd Party partners to ensure we deliver enablement and efficiency to the organization. You will be the primary resource and act as the liaison with IT. Finally, this role will need to be highly skilled in communication, presentation and critical thinking while possessing a Point of View regarding their areas of responsibility.
Working with department to help develop strategy and represent any issues, projects or enhancements needed
Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing processes, policies, and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed.
Act as a subject matter expert of “as-is” and “to-be” business process for the back-Office functions and assist with process definition, measurement and improvement
Creates appropriate documentation for new and existing reporting. Maintains team knowledge management repositories, process flows, and related artifacts.
Providing point of view on process and technology needs
Validates proposed enhancements and evaluates available technology to support the requests.
Elicit, capture, analyze, refine, articulate, and document business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria based on input from business users and subject matter experts.
Manage multiple projects and accurately report the status of all major assignments while adhering to all project management standards.
Contribute to project deliverables including project plan, status reports, test plans, validation protocols, etc.
Communicate status, business impacts and system changes to team members, business partners, sponsors, management and other interested parties.
Ensure standards and guidelines are applied and maintained across applications.
Serve as key resource in the requirements gathering, design as well as testing phase.
Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing processes, policies, and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed; especially regarding future business expansion.
Act as a subject matter expert of “as-is” and “to-be” business process for the Marketing team and assist with process definition, measurement and improvement
Creates appropriate documentation for new and existing reporting. Maintains team knowledge management repositories, process flows, and related artifacts.
Participates with the hardware vendor, software vendor, and other stakeholders to drive requirements into deliverables.
In compliance with the company’s SDLC methodology, documents, designs, and tests software and software changes while working directly with developers and end user customers.
Validates proposed enhancements and evaluates available technology to support the requests.
Assist both 1st and 2nd line support teams with issue investigation when needed, while working to enhance their functional understanding of the system.
Experience you will need:
Seven (7) or more years of experience in a business analyst role (IT or Functional) supporting Back-Office ERP applications required.
Should have right mix of technical and functional skills (primarily Finance from a functional perspective)
Working Experience Retail and Service companies preferred.
Proven experience in Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, General Ledger and Fixed Assets systems and processes (Tier one ERP preferred).
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Highly self-motivated and directed. Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth category environment.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
Experience with the following technologies is required either as an IT professional or as a function power user.
Worked with best in class ERP. Experience with Oracle preferred.
Experience with best in class BI tools.
Ability to write simple SQL queries Oracle/MS SQL Server and other databases preferred
Work experience in Cloud based applications preferred.
Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills required to interact with peers, management and internal/external customers or vendors.
Understanding of change and release management.
Education/Training:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Finance preferred
Project Management certification preferred
