The Role: The Enterprise Omni-Channel Product Lead

As a product leader for this team, you will help shape and drive the product vision, translate business objectives into a clear strategy for Omni-Channel payment processing and terminal management, and successfully execute that strategy through strong collaboration and agile leadership. You will also work closely with a cross-functional team to discover and distill merchant processing needs, then prioritize and develop new in-store capabilities that address those needs enabling our merchants to scale to new regions, new verticals and facilitate simple ways to drive loyalty and support new payment options for their customers.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Build, coach, and manage a team of Product Managers, enabling the success and productivity of our Omnichannel offering.

  • Act as Portfolio Owner for Enterprise In-Store efforts - developing a product strategy for the area, as well as define and manage the portfolio with the leadership team and stakeholders.

  • Deeply understand our merchants and their needs, ensuring we are helping them to grow their business.

  • Learn and grow your deep understanding of the Omni-Channel payments market, inclusive of In-store and online payment processing needs and expectations of enterprise merchants globally.

  • Evangelize and execute on the product strategy and vision for the group.

  • Create, maintain and drive overall product roadmap, defining key goals and iterative time-based deliverables to achieve them.

  • Partner closely with talented engineers through all phases of the product development lifecycle in an agile environment, to help determine the best technical implementation/design while balancing time-to-market needs.

  • Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives and technical and non-technical team members alike.

  • Improve the efficacy of our operational functions, enabling the organization to scale with process and technology.

  • Partner with enterprise sales & global account teams within PayPal to assess opportunities that align to the strategy and help grow the business.

  • Own business outcomes and update senior management about progress and challenges to plans.

  • Build positive relationships across organizations through strong and collaborative interactions, proactive planning, and decisive leadership.

  • Lead cross-functional teams in making appropriate trade-offs to deliver high utility solutions or processes within given business, market and time constraints.

  • Define and measure key performance indicators to evaluate and understand product value.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a BS/BA is required, MBA or MS is preferred

  • 10+ years of product management experience owning product strategy, product roadmap and successfully bringing technical Business-to-Business products delivered via developer APIs to market.

  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to practice strong ownership, drive change in a large, matrixed organization.

  • Prior experiences and knowledge of in-store payment processing – e.g. EMV, card reader hardware, Point of Sale software, etc.)

  • A deep curiosity that drives you to learn, investigate, and ask “why”?

  • Effective interpersonal skills and the self-awareness to communicate clearly and effectively to a variety of target audiences (including developers, executives, and non-technical internal stakeholders & external customers.

  • Comfort with ambiguity and an instinct for creating clarity with tempo.

  • Track record of using different sources of data to inform and drive product decisions.
