Senior Software Engineer - Remote

We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer who is eager to apply their skills within software engineering and computer science disciplines within a crucial back-end system that derives calculated scores based on complex logic scenarios. The ideal candidate is an expert in JavaScript/Typescript/NodeJS who has built back end heavy applications.

You will work on projects that support the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as we develop a next-generation analytics and reporting system that directly impacts healthcare quality. This program allows for the continued quality of clinicians work according to CMS standards.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high quality results within our scoring engine, which provides performance scores to doctors and clinicians, who provide measurement data against a set of rules that we will maintain and enhance on a year-to-year basis.
• Work in partnership with Tech Lead and Business Analysts to understand use cases, data needs, and outcome objectives.
• Maintain a level of flexibility and openness to working with other assets within the team in Java, and Scala.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree and 5+ or more years in software development
• 5+ years' experience building enterprise - level applications with JavaScript/Typescript and NodeJS.
• Candidate must currently reside in the United States (and have lived in the US for 3 out of the last 5 years) and be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
• Work must be performed in the US.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of computer science fundamentals: object-oriented design and programming, data structures, algorithms, databases (SQL and relational design)
• Experience with Scala or Python
• Experience with Agile methodology, using test-driven development.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final salary for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The salary range for Colorado is -

$88,722.00-$150,827.00
