Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Senior Contracts Manager to work remotely within our footprint states: AK, CA, MT, OR, TX and/or WA.



This is a system-wide role responsible for managing the contract management and administration arm of the Revenue Cycle Vendor Management Office across all regions. The Senior Contract Manager provides support to the Vendor Management Director and directly supervises the team responsible for preparing vendor contracts and reviewing vendor spend for leadership review and approval. Individual oversees the management of the storage and dissemination of contracts, provides guidance to operations on the implementation of contracts. The Senior Contract Manager works with Revenue Cycle leadership to respond to opportunities for improvement in contract terms, rates and structure as well as manages the processes required for on-time, efficient renewals of contracts with vendors.



Responsibilities:




  • Apply contract management knowledge and Epic Revenue Cycle experience to evaluate and access operational performance while validating and developing strategies.


  • Act as liaison to legal, Revenue Cycle and Providence commercial entities to ensure regulatory compliance and standards.


  • Operational knowledge of Revenue Cycle front, mid and back-end processes.


  • Resolves intricate negotiation issues by using a variety of past negotiation and analytic experiences.


  • Demonstrated seasoned working knowledge of healthcare finance, revenue cycle and contracting.


  • Maintain positive professional relationships with Shared Service partners and vendors at all times. Responsible for asking and answering questions concerning contractual agreements and resolving differences in understanding.


  • Keeps current with market trends and industry news that would be relevant to Revenue Cycle and shares the communication with all stakeholders.


  • Uses critical thinking skills to ensure that the negotiations result in outcomes that are both financially and operationally beneficial.


  • Works closely with leadership to identify opportunities and needs, reports findings, proposes solutions and drives change through analysis and business acumen.


  • Directly manage a team of caregivers.


  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive data at all times.


  • Performs other duties as assigned.




Required qualifications:




  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Healthcare Administration, other healthcare related field or 8 years experience in contracting, contract analytics, and/or health law


  • 6 years Leadership experience


  • 5 years Project Management experience




Preferred qualifications:




  • Master's Degree in Health Law, Healthcare Administration, other healthcare related field


  • Mid Revenue Cycle Epic Certification


  • HB and PB Epic Certification


  • Certified Revenue Certified Representative (CRCR) HFMA


  • Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) HFMA
