SUMMARY

The Logistics Specialist, Senior, will provide Integrated Product Support (IPS) program management and life-cycle logistics support services in the acquisition and sustainment for specified weapons systems, sub-systems, and Support Equipment (SE) to Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Sustainment Group (NSG), NAVAIR supported Program Executive Office (PEO) Program Offices, Commander Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC), Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWC-AD) and Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWC-WD) customers

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides direct support to program office APMLs, Deputy APMLs, PSMs, LEMs, and other government logistics subject matter experts for respective organizations.
Performs various tasks related to the development, operation, evaluation, and improvement of weapon systems supportability and/or maintainability programs and information systems.
Works on logistics and maintainability programs and with logistics and maintenance control organizations on issues such as: technical evaluation and identification of weapons systems logistics requirements and resources; development of logistics support and maintainability programs or plans; systems acquisition requirements analysis; budgetary or financial analysis and control; lifecycle cost (LCC) analysis and control; weapons systems (hardware and software) standardization and compatibility; Integrated Product Support(IPS)/ Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) program Test & Evaluation (T&E) planning and execution; and, Integrated Product Support(IPS)/ Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) program management analysis.
Collects, compiles, analyzes, investigates, researches, or applies logistics, maintenance, acquisition, or financial data and information.
Develops, modifies, prepares, or validates documentation in relation to automated logistics or maintenance data reporting systems, and management information systems.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

This position may have supervisory and/or limited management authority based on the assigned activity to include providing training as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Master of Science (MS) or Master of Arts (MA) Degree in Acquisition, Logistics Management, Management, Business or Engineering.
At least ten (10) years of full time equivalent experience in acquisition logistics support or maintenance engineering.
A minimum of four (4) years of specific experience in technical analysis of logistics acquisition requirements analysis as well as experience demonstrating ability to independently perform Integrated Product Support(IPS) studies, analysis, and evaluations in support of Department of Defense (DoD) weapons systems or equipment, both air vehicle and avionics.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Candidates must be United States Citizens
Selected candidate will be required to undergo a United States federal and state government background investigation and favorably pass a drug screen.
Candidate may be required to travel away from primary location in CONUS up to 10% of the time.
Excellent writing, oral and presentation communication skills before US government officials (English).
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite of Applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
The ability to pass a background check and drug test
