Company Description
- Interface with client and external partners
- Plan and direct work and manage a project budget form and discipline design perspective on large complex projects required
- Project Manager to proposal development, man-hour planning, project scheduling for the discipline scope of work on intermediate level projects.
- Advanced experience conducting and leading field surveys of existing conditions and support of field reporting
- Identify and resolve intermediate non-compliant existing conditions during site walks and construction field surveys
- Develop intermediate internal discipline design and engineering training presentations
- Develop construction drawing packages and write construction specifications on advanced and complex projects with little oversight
- Lead and advanced support of construction activities such as RFI responses, submittal reviews, punch list development, and construction progress reports
- Conduct quality checking of documents for intermediate complex projects, e.g. technical verification of design calculations and documentation, and drive overall project quality
- Provide mentorship to discipline Engineer I and II and/or Designer I and II
- Lead advanced project system design programming and master planning with support from Senior Engineer
- Lead a team of discipline staff in the execution of advanced projects discipline design and engineering
- ABET-accredited Bachelor s degree in discipline specific degree (ARE, ChemE, ME or EE)
- Minimum of 15 years of experience for Senior position, preferably in a design firm setting
- Professional Registration
- ISA Certified Automation Professional Certification (preferred)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
- Proficiency in discipline specific software required
- Advanced knowledge of GMP manufacturing environments
- Advanced experience with performing instrumentation and controls engineering calculations, and developing and implementing instrumentation and control system design
- Advanced with implementing fundamental design aspects of control system schematics, panel fabrication drawings, field wiring plans design preferred
- Advanced experience reading and interpreting Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams
- Advanced experience with the electrical code
- Intermediate experience with other applicable industry standards
- Intermediate experience with applicable mechanical and building codes
- Intermediate experience and knowledge with designing Safety Instrumented Systems
- Proficient with advanced internal and external cross-discipline project team coordination
- Proficient with advanced coordination with construction trade partners, vendors, and manufacturers
- Proficient at advanced design calculations with limited supervision
