Job Description
- Applying scientific & engineering principles and behavioral based systems to drive environmental risk reduction efforts and compliance activities
- Interpreting, implementing, and maintaining regulatory compliance programs to assure completion of records and reporting for applicable Federal, State and Local environmental permits, regulations, and programs
- Investigating workplace incidents and completing root cause analyses to determine appropriate corrective actions and conducting assessments of high hazard processes to reduce risk
- Identify opportunities to improve environmental performance and assist in developing strategies for future improvements
- Establishing and cultivating a network of intra-divisional support to facilitate completion of environmental assignments
- Bachelor s degree or higher in an engineering or science discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Three (3) years of experience with environmental science, policy and regulations in a private, public, government or military environment
- Minimum of one (1) year EHS experience in a manufacturing/production environment (private, public, government or military)
- Bachelor s degree or higher in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited institution
- Experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment
- Experience or ability to develop understanding of 3M standards and requirements
- Experience in environmental program administration, permit compliance and/or reporting
- CHMM or similarly recognized environmental professional certification
