Diversity Statement
- Perform and check calculations, specify equipment, and solve problems of complex to difficult engineering complexity
- Develop Mechanical datasheets, specification and narratives to solicit quotations and procure mechanical equipment.
- Develop Request for Quotation (RFQ) documentation, perform Bid Analysis, and generate Request for Purchase (RFP) packages.
- Establish, track material key quantities and report costs to project
- Manage Supplier Procurement and Contract Packages
- Knowledge of Modular/Skidded Design systems
- Review Supplier designs including 3D models, Supplier drawings and documentation
- Interface and coordinate with multiple disciplines to integrate equipment design into project
- Manage Supplier and Project meetings
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT)
- Participate in training and contribute to training activities
- Other duties as assigned
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and ten (10) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
- Packaged Equipment experience is preferred.
- Modular/Skidded Systems
- Management of Large Equipment Packages
- General Equipment Tanks, Pumps, Heat Exchangers, general fabrication techniques
- Ability to interface and coordinate effectively with other engineering disciplines, clients, and Equipment Suppliers
- Exceptional communication skills
- Knowledge of Industry Codes such as ASME, ANSI, ASTM, AWS, OSHA, CFR, PIP, etc.
- Professional registration and membership in technical society
- Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials
- Effort-hour estimating and staff forecasting
- Managing and leading a large project
- Project set-up, developing control-level schedules, progress reporting and project close-out
- Practical field experience
- Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs
