Job Description

RCH Solutions is seeking multiple Senior Bio-IT Solutions Engineers with skills that include Engineering and Operations across a breadth of IT Infrastructure and Platform services. These roles would provide technical solutions for RCH Assessment and Design customer initiatives while also providing technical leadership and senior-level engineering support for Managed Services and Professional Services engagements. Key attributes for successful candidates include notable skills across a wide swath of computing paradigms (physical, virtualized, Public Cloud, Serverless, etc.), unmatched engineering and problem-solving prowess, and superior verbal and written communications abilities.

Candidates should have an advanced degree or applicable Life sciences IT/Bio-IT industry experience. You will leverage your professional track record of architecting, engineering, implementing, and managing Compute at Scale platforms as part of the RCH team to meet the innovation goals of our Life Sciences customers while serving technical leaders and mentors to RCH and customer teams.

Specific focuses include:

• Leading Assessment and Gap Analyses initiatives
• IT Engineering and Services definitions to support exceptional IT platforms as well as The Art of the Possible
• Lead discovery conversations with Customer, leveraging problem solving skills and knowledge of compute best practices to evaluate and diagnose challenges and opportunities within existing infrastructure/environment.
• Leveraging Novel or Disruptive technologies to advance Computational and Data Sciences
• Collaborating with RCH team members and customers to deliver on the promise of Advanced Computing.
• Developing and delivering comprehensive, definitive, and persuasive document artifacts supporting RCH Engineering and Services Delivery.

Essential Qualifications:

• Candidates must not require sponsorship now or in the future
• 9+ years of professional experience delivering IT/Bio-IT solutions leveraging physical and virtualized infrastructure as well as Platform services via the Public Cloud.
• Demonstrated success leveraging Novel/Disruptive technologies to go beyond yesterday's solutions.
• The ability to define solutions and support the entire solutions stack, above Infrastructure and Platform services.
• Advanced skills spanning Public Cloud, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Linux systems administration, and software development/scripting.
• Experience with Symmetric Multi-Processing (SMP), High-Performance Computing (HPC) platforms, and Kubernetes to deliver Compute at Scale Bio-IT platforms.
• A track record that includes Application Integration, workflow pipelines, and HPC job development.
• Experience leveraging Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc. for the automated provisioning and configuration management of applications.
• Being willing and able to directly collaborate with Research and Data Scientists on solution components further up the solution stack.
• The ability and willingness for mentoring and providing technical support to teams.
• Superior communication and presentation skills, backed by a successful track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

RCH provides services and solutions for the unique challenges of Life Sciences computing and leverages teams with cross-functional IT skills to meet these challenges. The ideal candidate for this role will have broader skills than what is described in this job post.

• Public Cloud certifications (AWS preferred, Pro certifications a plus).
• The ability to support minor travel, being on-site with customers for parts of Assessment or Gap Analyses focuses.
