What you'll do here:
  • Recruits, coaches, and supervises all Sales Representatives, sub-reps and per diems needed for successful sales campaigns to ensure goal achievement.
    Ensure all team members have development plans and are making continuous progress toward.
  • Works closely with each sales representative to build out and maintain territory plans.
    This includes identification of top targets/ accounts, focused product, sales strategy, communication of needs and sales techniques to launch and maintain a successful sales campaign.
  • Maintains frequent communication with sales representatives to focus sales efforts on increasing revenue.
    This includes territory plan review/revision and pipeline oversight / forecasting (weekly basis).
  • Ensures team members consistently and accurately maintains their CRM to track adoptions and help predict customer needs.
    Ability to review each revenue stream to provide financial expectations and monitor those and provided accurate forecasts.
  • Travels regularly in their region to coach and support team members through customer visits, team meetings, presentations, implementations or generally planning sessions.
  • Collaborates with VP, Sales to establish sales territories, quotas, and performance metrics.
    Responsible for successful implementation and execution of these to the team.
  • Develops an effective events strategy by identifying important shows the team should invest in while developing plans to ensure strong lead generating results.
    Critically evaluates each show and document results to make wise investments.
  • Continuously monitor key states/districts/market news and trends.
    Share with the region and leadership valuable information that can lead to effective Go to Market strategies.
Skills you will need here:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university plus one to two years of teaching and sales experience and/or training.
  • 5+ years of successful consultative sales/business development experience is required and able to show exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong digital literacy and ability to sell online resources optimally.
    Proficient in word processing, PowerPoint, and spreadsheet software.
  • Excellent communication skills, public speaking ability, plus ability to lead and motivate sales teams and internal colleagues.
  • Strong knowledge of the educational market with a strong understanding of State Adoption processes and criteria.

Base Pay Range

The full base pay range has been provided for this position.
Individual base pay will vary based on qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location.
Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.

$84,400.00 - $135,000.00 USD
