This position will partner with the segment finance and standalone businesses to manage monthly operating rhythms and long-term strategic modeling. Reporting to the Senior Finance Transformation Manager, initial scope will focus on various workstreams associated with the Analyst Day and the development of the company's strategic growth models. In this capacity you will be partnering with business leaders across the company and senior management to effectively communicate business performance and strategy.

In addition to owning the monthly/quarterly forecasting and reporting, you will support the standalones and segments with the annual operating plan and IR support. Additional scope to include key strategic finance initiatives in the areas of system development/enhancement, and future FP&A tools. A successful candidate will be one who wants to develop into a business subject matter expert and shows an ability to own and drive results. The position requires a highly-motivated self-starter who has excellent interpersonal skills, a desire to learn and a strong work ethic.

Overview:

The Senior Financial Analyst - Americas is a critical member of PerkinElmer's Regional Finance team and will be responsible for key P&L metrics across Revenue, Margin, and operating expense. This position is a fully remote role however there will be occasional onsite meetings. Must live within a commutable distance to our corporate headquarters in Waltham.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the financial management and forecasting process for key sub-businesses in the America's region.
  • Track the monthly P&L closely, perform variance analysis against forecasts and analyze market/customer trends.
  • Enable the commercial & operations team to make informed business decisions through a financial lens for strategic goal setting, annual operating plans and monthly business reviews.
  • Lead cross-functional process improvement activities with all levels of the organization.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and sift through complex data to tell a financial story to business leaders.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's or Master's degree and 3-5 years of finance/accounting experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years' experience in corporate finance for a multi-national, matrixed organization
  • 1 year of experience currently active in a multi-national corporation's financial leadership training program
  • A long term desire to grow in an organization while advancing their career
  • Ability to quickly grasp new ideas, systems and tasks
  • History leading cross-functional projects focused on process improvements
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously with speed & accuracy
  • Ability to liaise with business leaders and cross-functional colleagues in an efficient manner
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with systems expertise across various ERP's and general ledgers
