How you will enjoy your day:
Lead Security and Loss Prevention Department in accordance with Resort standards, direct, implement, and maintain a service and management philosophy to ensure safety of resort guests and team members.
Work Performed
:
Communicate with guests, management and coworkers about any procedures, policies, and program to ensure a safe environment for the staff and guests.
Monitor and control the maintenance and repair of safety related equipment to ensure constant emergency readiness.
Enforce resort standards, policies, and procedures with the team members.
Create and maintain a positive work environment to ensure an excellent work relationship with other departments and to ensure exceeding guests expectations.
Direct performance of staff and follow-up with corrections where needed.
Train and motivate staff daily to maintain a cohesive team.
Maintain confidentiality of all guests, team members and resort information
Develop safety, security and emergency procedures/action plan for the resort and monitor program implementation to protect guests and staff and secure the assets and minimize losses.
Investigate, analyze, and report on all incidents and accidents.
Report all accidents and incidents to the insurance company.
Conduct routine inspection of the property.
Coordinate with RHA inspection and property evaluation and ensure that recommendations are implemented.
Conduct monthly safety meetings.
Liaise between the resort and local and federal law enforcement agencies, fire companies and insurance agents to resolve problems and maintain good working relationships.
Maintain attention to detail by doing daily rounds of the guest rooms, public areas and back of the house areas to ensure a safe and well-kept work environment.
Maintain professional and courteous demeanor with demanding or difficult guests or situations.
Manage and maintain an effective key control system for entire property.
Maintain excellent communication with all other departments regarding their safety and security needs.
Ensure that all special guest needs/complaints are met and resolved in a timely manner.
Properly execute Loss and Found processes and items.
Hold meetings on a regular basis to ensure that goals in training, safety and all security functions are being met and to maintain a high level of morale.
Effectively write routine reports and correspondence
Manage staffing levels, scheduling, evaluating, and disciplining departmental team members as required.
Manage employee payroll processes.
Control expenses related to department.
Ensure grooming and dress codes are maintained by the department.

Responsibility & Authority:
Interface effectively with all departments and provide support to all managers as necessary.
Plan and execute safety training for all staff members.
Successfully address insurance safety requirements and recommendations.
Devise and implement safety culture within organization by leading safety committee and implementing safety programs.
Assist managers with all resort safety and security and take necessary steps to correct deficiencies.
Conduct monthly property safety inspection and required walk through with the insurance company.
Monitor postage meter for funding levels and ensure processing of all incoming and outgoing mail.
Always maintain a high level of guest service in all guest services areas.
Uphold the resorts commitment to hospitality.
Act as Manager on Duty as necessary
Work closely with all departments to ensure guest service levels are being met.
Deal effectively with all departments with regular communication
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree from four-year College or university or equivalent work-related experience and/or training. 5+ years related experience in a resort/hotel environment preferred in a supervisory capacity. Must have exceptional organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with ease. Computer skills required. Strong guest and team member relations skills. Must have the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in various situations. Must be certified in CPR/First Aid for children & infants. Safety sensitive position.
