Summary
The Fleet Management Solutions Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for data mining, analysis, and reporting on the $1B spent on vehicle maintenance per year to identify cost savings opportunities and vehicle reliability issues. The Senior Financial Analyst also works with Operations leadership to implement cost savings solutions and track the financial improvement that results from those actions. Our Data Analytics team operates in fast-paced environment, where we are challenged to utilize cutting edge analytics & machine learning techniques to build predictive models and promote data driven decision making throughout the organization.

The salary for this position ranges from $70K to $95K.
Salaries may be supplemented with a bonus as applicable and/or as business conditions allow.

Essential Functions
- Have the intellectual curiosity to actively seek out new areas of potential improvement and drill into the details to find the root cause of problems. This requires a willingness to question assumptions and an internal drive for continuous improvement.
- Work with business partners to identify cost savings opportunities, model how potential actions would impact the P&L, identify risks to the plan, create reporting to measure progress, and report savings results to senior leadership.
- Mine data in SQL to discover trends and changes in profitability, determine cause-and-effect relationships, and then advise business partners on potential actions to improve results.
- Create automated reporting in Power BI to communicate performance metrics and highlight areas of potential improvement to operations management.
- Take ownership of the data and work to ensure that data is as complete and accurate as possible. This requires working with Operations to understand the business processes behind the data and with IT to understand how the data is processed and stored.

Skills and Abilities
- Key tools include Excel, SQL, and Power BI
- Proficiency in SQL
- Experience with Workday Financial Management is a plus
- Advanced knowledge of financial modeling and how business actions impact financial statements
- Must have a proven ability to drive business results with their databased insights
- Have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes
- Ability to arrive at and give recommendations to senior management based on available information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Math or related
- Master's degree preferred
- Four (4) years or more relevant experience
- Four (4) years or more experience in Corporate Finance, Applied Statistical Analysis or Transportation Industrial Engineering preferred
