This northern freight brokerage startup specializes in Dry Van, Flatbed, Refrigerated, DOD, and LTL freight. Their current team is composed of friendly, highly professional, and successful individuals.
About the Opportunity:
Our client is looking for a Sales Representative to join their office in the northeast. In this role, you will cold-call, hunt, and develop new business as well as maintain any current book of business brought to the company. You will present, promote, and sell services to existing and prospective customers. Additionally, you will maintain positive business relationships, reach out through cold-calling, work through customer service issues, and achieve sales KPIs and quotas. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience selling Truckload and LTL freight as well as a current book of business. Candidates must have at least two years of relevant work experience and be open to working remotely out of Buffalo, New York.
Duties:
Present, promote, and sell products/services to existing and prospective customers
Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
Establish, develop, and maintain positive business relationships
Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
Expedite customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within the schedule
Provide management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
Travel as needed
Work remotely
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Freight Broker/Account Manager
Current book of TL/LTL business is required
Strong people skills
Able to thrive in a fast-moving environment
Outgoing with a positive attitude
Self-starter that is results-driven
Comfortable traveling as needed
Previous experience with McCleod software is a plus
Able to work remotely
