Job Description
As part of the US Digital Channels Strategy and Services (DCSS) team, the Senior Specialist, Digital Acceleration and Transformation Strategist will be responsible for defining and supporting the execution of comprehensive strategies including identifying, piloting, and launching new digital marketing channels within US Human Health. This role reports to the Associate Director, Digital Acceleration and Transformation Lead, and will be responsible for curating and evaluating market research as well as market scan insights to identify and prioritize new and expanded digital marketing channels and capabilities.
The Senior Specialist, Digital Acceleration and Transformation Strategist will work with the Associate Director, Digital Acceleration and Transformation Lead to develop a roadmap of prioritized channels and capabilities and implement the selected opportunities all while liaising with cross-functional teams across US Human Health.
This role will also be responsible for evaluating potential vendor external partners and supporting their management of them as needed throughout any implementations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Drive the execution of exploratory fact-finding, market research opportunities, and other inputs with a focus on identifying opportunities to expand US HH digital marketing capabilities for HCP and HCC marketing
- Support the development, evolution, and communication of a comprehensive strategy leveraging the exploration findings to map out a broad level and brand level opportunities map and action plan
- Drive prioritization and measurement of return on investment and business value of implemented opportunities
- Develop KPIs/metrics framework of what good looks like for the channel and brand, coordinating with analytics group as well as brand team on options and needs for dashboard reporting
- Collaborate with the relevant SMEs in UX/CX, accessibility, healthy literacy, and legal/regulatory to lead and inform the optimal design and implementation decisions of new or updated digital channels
- Assist brand teams in finding suitable digital technology solutions to support their strategic priorities
- Maintain awareness of new and emerging digital trends in the life sciences industry as well as more broadly to evaluate the applicability
- Successfully operate in Agile and leverage the Agile mindset and methodology to plan and manage work within and across teams
- Support the education of broader cross teams on digital capabilities in terms of best practices and business cases
- Support in the development of DCSS channel-specific standards and guidance including documentation of requirements, guidelines, processes, best practices, benchmarks, and KPIs.
- Serve as overall project manager for the implementation of pilots
- Management of required workstreams such as Pharmacovigilance, Patient Support Program, SDLC documentation, and IT integration
- Vendor management
- Support content collaboration reviews
- Lead testing and deployment efforts
- Plan and execute continuous improvement where applicable
- Identify successful pilots and determine the path to scale
Required Experience and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree is required. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in digital marketing, marketing agency, marketing support, and/or digital channel innovation
- Minimum of 7 years of professional work experience or 5 with an advanced degree
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Experience identifying, planning, and launching new capabilities
- Agile experience with the ability to ensure a collaborative, iterative, and transparent process for all stakeholders involved
- Passion for identifying customer needs and working to identify solutions to meet those needs.
- Ability to collaborate and influence - displays strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Change Management Skills and the ability to work as a change agent to effectively drive the change required
- Strong communication skills: ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
- Self-motivated; communicated proactively and effectively, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills
- Experience (preferred at least 2 years) working in the Biopharmaceutical or Healthcare industry
